Bo Schembechler

Bo Schembechler served as head coach at Miami University from 1963 to 1968 and at the University of Michigan from 1969-1989, amassing a 234-65-8 overall record. During his 21 years at Michigan his team boasted a 194-48-5 record, and won or shared 13 Big Ten Conference titles.   In all but one season, Schembechler’s teams finished ranked in the top-25 and 16 times they placed in the top ten of both major polls. For his consistent commitment and success at Michigan, Schembechler was awarded the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Award in 1977.
