Chris Petersen began his head coaching career at Boise State in 2006, when he was promoted from offensive coordinator. In his first year as head coach, he led Boise State to an undefeated regular season and the Bronco’s first ever BCS Bowl. The Bronco’s defeated Oklahoma in a 43-42 overtime thriller in the Fiesta Bowl. Petersen’s success continued with seven-of-eight 10 win or more seasons and his team appeared in a bowl game every season. His 2010 squad went 12-1 and was ranked No. 7 in the Coaches’ Poll and No. 9 in the AP Poll. For his success on and off the field, he was awarded the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year in 2010. Petersen currently serves as the head coach of Washington.
