Dabo Swinney currently serves as the head coach of the Clemson Tigers. Swinney was promoted from to head coach in 2008, after Tommy Bowden resigned six games into the season. The Tigers have boasted a 54-25 record and have played in a bowl game every year of Swinney’s tenure. Swinney has recruited five top-20 ESPN recruiting classes in a row including top-10 classes in 2011 and 2012. In 2011, Clemson earned a 10-3 record, ACC Championship and trip to the Orange Bowl. For his team’s success Swinney was named the 2011 Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year. Building off the foundation of success, Swinney led the Tigers to its first 11- win season since 1981. The following year, Swinney guided the Clemson to its third consecutive 10-win season.
