Gary Barnett

Gary Barnett coached at Northwestern University from 1992-1998. Northwestern’s 1995 season has been referred to as the school’s best season in history, as the team picked up their first conference title since 1926 and played in the school’s first Rose Bowl since 1949. For his success on and off the field in 1995, Barnett earned the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Award, AFCA Coach of the Year, Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year, the George Munger Award, Home Depot Coach of the Year, Sporting News Football Coach of the Year and Walter Camp Coach of the Year.
