Lloyd Carr coached at the University of Michigan from 1995-2007, compiling a 122-40 record and won or shared five Big 10 conference titles. Carr’s Wolverines boasted an impressive 19-8 record against top ten- ranked opponents. Michigan won the national title in 1997 after defeating Washington State in the Rose Bowl. For his successes Carr earned the Paul “Bear” Bryant Award and the Walter Camp Coach of the Year Award. Prior to his retirement in 2007, Carr was awarded the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year for his successful tenure at Michigan.
