Mack Brown

Mack Brown‘s head coaching track began at Appalachian State in 1983. Brown went on to coach at Tulane (1985-1987), North Carolina (1988-1997) and ended his coaching career at Texas (1998-2013). Texas was ranked for 162 consecutive weeks in the AP Poll from 2000-2010 and 192 consecutive weeks from 1998-2010 in the Coaches’ Poll. The Longhorns boasted 20 consecutive winning seasons and 18 consecutive bowl game appearances behind Brown’s leadership. In 2008 Brown was named the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year after a 12-1 season and Fiesta Bowl victory. He retired from coaching in 2013.
