Vince Dooley

Vince Dooley served as head coach at the University of Georgia from 1964-1988 and athletic director from 1979-2004.  Over the course of his 25 year coaching career, Dooley earned a 201-77-10 record. In 1976 Dooley won the SEC and was awarded the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year award for his excellence in coaching on and off the field.  Four years later, the Bulldogs won the SEC and defeated Notre Dame, 17-10, in the National Championship. Dooley was named the 1980 AFCA Coach of the Year, Sporting News Coach of the Year and the Walter Camp Coach of the Year
